Australian Standard AS / NZS 1170.2 - 2002
In Australia we have specific Australian Standards that govern the testing procedures and product requirements for any product to be classified as "Cyclone Rated". OZ Roll is pleased to advise that the testing is complete and the Super Shutter has been approved for "Cyclone Rating" The shape of the profile has been designed specifically for increased strength and security for high wind or high-risk applications.. The curved shape of the slat provides minimal roll sizes and optimal lateral strength.
Please note: To comply with the Cyclone Rating, the shutter must be 4 square meters or less in overall size.

Materials Used 90% Aluminium with some Plastics, Rubber and Spring Steels.
AR400 HDF "High Density Foam" Cyclone slat profile.
The shape of the profile has been designed specifically for increased strength and security for high wind or high-risk applications. The slat is roll formed in Ozroll's Adelaide manufacturing facility to the highest of world standards. The German built roll forming machine is the most advanced of its type in Australia today. It is this remarkable increase in density that offers the HDF product such remarkable characteristics. The slat inserts are actually screwed into the foam using two 25mm long screws pilot drilled and fixed directly into the High Density Foam. The slat insert is restrained into the guide profile. This restraining design considerably increases the force needed to disengage the slat from the guide.
The guide has a heavy-duty section that has been specifically designed for this
shutter. The guide measures 69mm x 25mm x 3mm
